World Hepatitis Day Science Knowledge Love Liver Protecting Liver Enjoy Health
July 28th is the sixth "World Hepatitis Day". The theme of this year's event is "Love Liver and Protect Liver and Enjoy Health". According to the latest WHO data, viral hepatitis causes 1.4 million deaths each year, viral hepatitis carriers are currently about 500 million, and 2 billion people worldwide are infected with hepatitis virus, killing about 1 million people each year.
The health of the people of our country is deeply plagued by viral hepatitis. China's legal infectious disease system reports more than 1.3 million cases of viral hepatitis each year, accounting for one-third of the total reported cases. Viral hepatitis ranks first in the incidence of infectious diseases, of which hepatitis B accounts for 80% of all hepatitis cases. China’s direct economic losses due to hepatitis B are at least 500 billion yuan each year.
Viral hepatitis is an infectious disease caused by a variety of hepatitis viruses. Usually divided into A, B, C, D, E type. Hepatitis A and hepatitis E are generally acutely affected and spread through the digestive tract. Hepatitis B and hepatitis C are mainly transmitted by blood, sex, mother and baby, which can lead to repeated abnormalities in liver function. In order to arouse the attention and attention of governments and people in the prevention and treatment of viral hepatitis, the World Health Assembly in 2010 passed a resolution to establish "World Hepatitis Day" on July 28 each year.
